Lawrence D. Israel, CAMS
Larry Israel is a co-founder of EA Compliance Inc. and Exchange Analytics Inc. and serves as President of both companies. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. Mr. Israel has over 35 years of experience in the securities and futures markets, and has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade for over 35 years. He has served as an arbitrator for both the National Futures Association and Chicago Board of Trade, has given expert witness testimony in federal court and arbitration proceedings, and has testified as an expert witness for the United States Department of Justice in a criminal matter. Mr. Israel has been an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University, where he taught courses about the futures and options markets. He currently serves on the Business Conduct and Probable Cause Committees of the CME Group. Mr. Israel holds a Bachelors of Science from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.
Steven L. Lopata, CAMS, CFE
Steve Lopata is a co-founder of EA Compliance and serves as Senior Vice President, in charge of AML audit services. Mr. Lopata is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, and is certified by the AICPA as a Personal Financial Specialist. His memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. He has over 30 years experience in both the securities and futures industries. He has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade for over 20 years and has served on the Membership Committee. Mr. Lopata holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Drake University.
Larry Schneider serves as a consultant in EA Compliance’s AML audit practice services division. Additionally Mr. Schneider serves as a content consultant to Exchange Analytics. He has over 40 years experience in the securities and futures industry, where he has served as National Futures Sales Manager and National Product Manager for Morgan Stanley. Mr. Schneider has served as an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University teaching courses on futures and options, and in 2007 received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the University. He has served on the National Futures Associations Advisory Committee on Testing and Education; Treasurer and Trustee of the Institute for Financial Markets; and member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s Education, Ethics and Professional Responsibilities Committees. Mr. Schneider holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Drake University and a Masters of Business Administration from DePaul University.
Ms. Schanks is Director of Client Services for EA Compliance and has over 15 years of experience in both the securities and futures industry, serving in a variety of operating positions for member firms at the Chicago Board of Trade. Ms. Schanks attended Northern Illinois University.
